Assistant Product Manager II
About the role
The Assistant Product Manager II assists the Project Manager with TAS projects, focusing on turnkey construction projects to ensure on-budget, on-schedule performance. They serve as the customer advocate, ensuring accurate and timely delivery, and play a proactive role in identifying and resolving issues affecting project performance.
Responsibilities
- Manages major tasks or functions of a project
- Serves as frequent customer and internal resource interface at the technical and commercial task level
- Determines cradle-to-grave project schedules
- May manage small projects with a contract value up to $5M, with support and mentoring by a PM or Sr. PM
- Performs other tasks as assigned by TAS

- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, including NEC, ANSI, ASME, API, and OSHA
- Broad technical proficiency across HVAC principles, civil/structural/mechanical design, power wiring, controls architecture, and modular system design and manufacturing
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and database tools
Education & Training
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year engineering program (plus)
- P.C. or PE, or PMP license/certification (plus)
- A substitution of military leadership and/or technical work experience will be considered in lieu of an engineering degree (plus)
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Engineering or Project Management
- Familiarity with packaged equipment (preferred)
- Project experience in a similar role with activities on a project or directly supporting the activities of a project, ideally within modular data center infrastructure or power systems environments (plus)
- Project cost estimating, project management, construction management experience (plus)
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Position is at least 80% to 95% at a desk working with a computer
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
- Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions
- Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal, and conduct extensive reading
- The incumbent will be subject to inside environmental conditions
