About the role
The Assistant Product Manager - Digital Retail Platform supports and drives key elements of the Digital Retail Platform (DRP), including the Vehicle Search Results (VSR) page, Vehicle Details Page (VDP), and the Tier 3 DRP experience. Reporting to the CX Product Manager - Digital Retail Platform, this role helps shape the DRP roadmap and deliver enhancements that elevate the end-to-end digital shopping journey.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the product owner of the VSR & VDP within the Digital Retail Platform, ensuring the experience is accurate, continuously optimized, and aligned to brand, dealer, and customer needs.
- Act as a primary liaison between the DRP product team and technology team, ensuring requirements are captured, prioritized, and clearly communicated.
- Design and deliver DRP enhancements throughout the customer journey, from discovery through purchase.
- Own the end-to-end T3 DRP experience by identifying optimizations, managing activations, and partnering with the GM Dealer Website Choice (DWC) team.
- Partner with the broader DRP product team to define, prioritize, and execute roadmap features across the end-to-end DRP experience.
- Use data, customer insights, and performance metrics to identify opportunities, evaluate enhancements, and improve the digital shopping journey.
- Drive execution of enhancements through structured planning, strong meeting facilitation, risk identification and mitigation, and effective use of product management tools and frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, product management, communications, or a related field.
- 5-7+ years of experience in product management, digital commerce, digital marketing, customer experience, or closely related fields.
- 3+ years of direct experience supporting or owning digital product delivery, including translating business needs into requirements, prioritizing work, and partnering with design and technology teams through launch.
- Experience working in fast-paced product delivery environments, including backlog management, user story development, roadmap support, and cross-functional execution.
- Experience using data, customer insights, and digital performance metrics to identify issues, evaluate opportunities, and improve customer experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to bring structure and discipline to complex, multi-dimensional projects, balancing strategic thinking with strong attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work across business, brand, dealer, and technology teams and synthesize competing priorities into clear recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of the Dealer website landscape.
- Familiarity with tools such as Figma, and project management applications.
- Understanding of technical concepts such as vehicle data and inventory logic, systems integrations, APIs, and platform dependencies, with the ability to translate between engineering, data, and business teams.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry, including knowledge of dealer operations.
