Assistant Process Operator - Reaction CPG-MFG

About the role

Tremco CPG is seeking an Assistant Process Operator for our chemical plant in Corsicana. This is an opportunity to join a growing company offering competitive base salary, benefits, and pension.

Essential duties

• Complete work functions within chemical production operations
• Responsible for quality blending of finished products and the bulk, drum, and pail packaging of products
• Full understanding of chemical hazards specific to area assigned, including PPE
• General forklift duties
• Use mechanical and electrical equipment such as pumps, mixing equipment, and automation control systems for blending and packaging
• Complete and comply with all safety initiatives and certification requirements including all near miss and incident reporting
• Accountable for data entry of production tickets, good receipts, and shipping documentation
• Daily inspection of work area and monthly document reporting
• Maintain a clean organized work environment at all times
• Assist with physical inventory counts and processes
• Compliance with all applicable ISO requirements
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: 2-year Process Technology Degree
• Preferred: 2+ years of manufacturing, chemical, or technical experience
• Preferred: Certified forklift experience
• Good attendance record
• Able to work 12-hour shifts on DuPont schedule (day and graveyard rotation)
• Ability to work in the US without sponsorship

Physical demands

• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
• Ability to bend, squat down, and reach above your head throughout the day
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Must be able to wear fall protection and work at heights
• Must be able to wear respirator approximately 2 hours per day
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
• Forklift experience certified
• 24-hour Hazpower

Pay and schedule

• Hourly starting rate: $25.00 plus $1.00 shift premium
• Eligible for 6% annual bonus
• DuPont work schedule (12-hour shifts, day and graveyard rotation)
