Assistant Principal

Location: Pennichuck Middle School • Work year: 199 days (July 1 to June 30) • Starting: 2026–2027 school year

Pay

$98,159 – $114,587 with benefits under the Nashua Association of School Principals CBA

Qualifications

• NH certified or eligible as a Principal (requires a Master’s degree in Administration or Leadership and three successful years as an educator)
• Preferred: five years of educational experience, including significant administrative/supervisory and teaching and learning experiences

Responsibilities

• Serve as acting principal during the absence of the Principal
• Assist the Principal with the improvement of the instructional program and inherent supervisory duties
• Assist in selection of personnel
• Observe and, together with the Principal, evaluate teachers, paraprofessionals, and school nurse
• Supervise substitutes and student teachers
• Assume primary responsibility for student attendance and discipline
• Assist in the preparation of pupil schedules and assignments
• Serve on the Special Education placement team in the absence of the Principal
• Perform other duties as the Principal may assign
