Responsibilities
- Assists in implementing student orientation and registration activities (pre-class organization).
- Assists in developing and establishing school goals and objectives and planning the school’s instructional program.
- Provides direction to staff in implementing goals and objectives; interacts and meets with staff to assist in their development.
- Assists in evaluating the school program and staff; initiates needed improvements.
- Involves staff in setting budget priorities.
- Upgrades own professional knowledge and skills.
- Assists in preparation and management of budgets and schedules; coordinates and implements the co-curricular program.
- Assists in defining and disseminating information about school disciplinary policies and procedures to parents, students, staff, and community.
- Communicates and carries out established policies; delegates and accepts responsibility for task completion; communicates program goals, objectives, and policies to the community.
- Assists in supervising and maintaining auxiliary services; uses community resources to supplement the school program.
- Promotes and maintains open communications, positive student attitudes, and respect for the dignity and worth of staff and students; complies with established lines of authority.
- Assists in completion of records and reports; supervises and inventories supplies, textbooks, equipment, and materials.
Requirements
- Physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computers, copiers, calculators, and motor vehicles.
- Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally; light work involving walking or standing to a significant degree.
- Ability to compare and judge characteristics of data, people, or things.
- Ability to speak and signal people to convey or exchange information, including giving instructions or assignments.
- Ability to read and prepare a variety of correspondence, reports, forms, strategic plans, budgets, and evaluations using prescribed formats.
- Ability to speak before groups with poise, voice control, and confidence.
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to record and deliver information, explain procedures, and follow oral and written instructions in standard English.
- Ability to utilize mathematical formulas, add, subtract, multiply, divide, use decimals, percentages, algebra, and descriptive statistics.
- Ability to inspect items for proper length, width, and shape.
- Ability to coordinate hands and eyes rapidly and accurately in using office equipment.
- Ability to handle office equipment and hand tools with minimal eye/hand/foot coordination.
- Ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions, adapt to stress, and handle emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively via telephone (talking and hearing).

Schedule
Full-time for eleven (11) months.
Pay
Salary based on state and local salary schedules.
