Assistant Press Operator

Responsibilities

• To provide a safe work environment through proper training and communication.
• The Printing Assistant Operator will assist in the set-up and operation of the press while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment for maximum press efficiency production quality.
• This position is responsible for working closely with a Press Operator to ensure customer quality expectations are being met.
• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures while ensuring all team members work within the safety guidelines as established by Berry.
• Complete safety orientation and forklift certification training.
• Absorb and apply knowledge of and skills in the use of office machines (computer and printers) and business procedures.
• Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude and experience.
• Work is performed in a plant environment with frequent contact with others.
• Requires prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping and stretching, manual dexterity, the ability to distinguish letters, the ability to distinguish between colors.
• Occasional lifting up to 35 lbs., and the use of equipment.

Qualifications

• S. Diploma or GED
• Mechanical and mathematical aptitude and experience preferred.
