Science Akademeia, The Atlanta Preschool of Science in Alpharetta, GA is hiring an Assistant Preschool Teacher to support daily operations at an early childhood education center. This position offers $29,120 – $34,095/Yr and requires relevant professional experience.

What You'll Do

• We're seeking an experienced educator to lead our preschoolers in STEM activities using the Seeds of STEM curriculum and our unique Science curriculum.
• Create a fun and engaging learning environment that prioritizes the physical and emotional well-being of our students.
• Develop schedules and routines that ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime.
• Potty training support is also an essential part of this role.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Open communication with parents about their child's growth and progress.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for all students.
• Maintain reliability, responsibility, and adherence to school rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Must have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• CDA Credentials and Georgia Approved Trainer certification are preferred.
• Previous experience working in childcare is required.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral) are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a must.
• Knowledge of Bright From the Start regulations, Quality Rated system, Environmental Rating Scales, and Georgia State-Funded Pre-K system is required.
• Familiarity with National Accreditation standards and assessment tools, including NAEYC, NECPA, COA, and NAFCC, is a plus.
• Passionate about working with children and building rapport with families is a must.
• Able to pass a federal background check is required.
• Meet all Georgia Department of Early Learning training certifications and qualifications for preschool teachers.
• Must be able to physically stand for 2 hours or more, bend, lift, and work in a high-noise environment.
