Assistant Preschool Teacher

Clemson Creative Academy is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support preschool-age groups.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must pass all background checks
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous childcare experience is a plus
• Physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements as necessary for program quality
• Create and maintain a clean and safe environment for all children
• Establish a professional rapport with families to provide quality care

Schedule

Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Pay

$12–14 per hour, based on education and experience
