Responsibilities

• Assists and supervises children during ALL activities
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
• Provide individualized attention and support to each child based on their unique needs and abilities
• Utilize various teaching methods and materials to enhance learning experiences
• Monitor and assess each child's progress, documenting observations and maintaining accurate records
• Completes all academy and classroom paperwork: daily notes, student accident reports, attendance reports, etc
• Follows Kiddie Academy and PA state regulations on all health and safety policies and regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that is conducive to learning
• Assists children with mealtimes and clean-up
• Ensures classroom medication schedule is followed, when applicable
• Attends and participates in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings

Experience

• Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or daycare setting (1 year)
• Absociates or Bachelors degree, preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles, theories, and best practices
• Strong understanding of child development milestones and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to effectively manage a classroom setting while maintaining a positive and nurturing atmosphere

Qualifications and Certifications

• Must be 18yrs, or older
• U.S. work authorization, if applicable
• FBI fingerprinting
• NSOR
• PA State Police
• PA child abuse
• Mandatory Reporter Training

Compensation

$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
