Essential Functions
- Operate and maintain all equipment and vehicles
- Mix and load pesticides and fertilizers
- Inventory management of seed, chemical and fertilizer
- Scout fields as directed
- Custom apply products as needed
- Provide agronomic support to local customers
- Provide agronomic advice to customers and staff
- Knowledge of the retail agronomy industry
- Answer questions concerning products
- Built and develop long-term relationships with customers, peers and suppliers
- Provide problem solving and understanding of customer needs to reach customers’ goals and expectations
- Knowledgeable of seed, chemical and fertilizer to make informed decisions
- Calls on regular or prospective customers to generate new business

Work Environment
- The Assistant Manager will work at the Greenview Agronomic Services facility.
- This position may be working in cold or hot weather.
Classification/Expected Hours of Employment
- This position is a full time position and is non-exempt.
- Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday but seasonal overtime is required.
Travel
- Not applicable to this position.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Ag Related preferred
- 4 years of agronomic experience required.
- Intermediate computer and software skills required.
- CDL is required.
- Hazmat endorsement preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to be on feet 8 hours a day.
