Assistant Plant Engineer
About the role
The Assistant Plant Engineer assists the Plant Engineer in leading and directing salaried and hourly personnel engaged in all phases of the plant engineering function, including installation, and repair and maintenance of all plant systems, equipment, grounds and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Assists in directing preventive maintenance programs
- Coordinates and supervises all construction and service work performed by outside contractors
- Conducts periodic inspections of all plant systems, equipment, facilities and grounds
- Reviews shift operations, makes decisions, and implements actions relative to changes on shifts that may impact processing, procedures, personnel, equipment, and customer requirements
- Tracks downtime and provides solutions to decrease downtime
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required, trade school or bachelor degree in Engineering would be a plus
- Industrial electrical experience required
- 5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership position in a manufacturing facility, glass industry experience is preferred
Qualifications
Strong maintenance and/or furnace operations background
Experience with maintenance management software
Experience in a maintenance leadership role
Strong electrical background
Skills

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $91,330 - $115,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is between $91,330 - $115,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
