Assistant Pastor of Music and Body Life - Central Bible Church

About the role

The Assistant Pastor of Music and Body Life will lead the corporate worship in music for Central Bible Church, a 75-year-old independent Bible church in northwest Montana. The position involves guiding the music ministry, preparing worship teams, leading Sunday services, and developing new members of the music ministry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a Worship Committee to help guide and direct the music ministry
• Train and prepare worship team(s) to lead Sunday morning corporate gatherings
• Plan, lead, and support regular and special Sunday morning corporate worship services
• Cultivate a biblically sound and theologically rich church hymnody
• Invest in the spiritual lives of those involved in the music ministry through care and discipleship
• Guide the A/V and online team
• Lead or delegate a choir for holiday services (Christmas and Easter)
• Serve as a non-voting member of the Board of Elders, overseeing the body of CBC
• Participate as a member of the pastoral staff under the direction of the Lead Pastor
• Be a representative of Christ and CBC in the community of the Flathead Valley

Requirements

• Demonstrated vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and His Bride, the church
• Elder qualifications as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9
• Model a lifestyle of worship, humility, service, and leadership
• Unreserved embrace of CBC’s doctrinal statement and published teaching

Qualifications

• Formal musical training is valued but not required and musical proficiency is necessary
• A college degree is preferred but not required
