Assistant Parts Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist the Parts Manager in overseeing the operations and personnel of the parts department.
• Maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory system, ensuring that the dealership is always stocked with the necessary parts.
• Work closely with the service department to ensure that all parts requests are met in a timely and efficient manner.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the parts department.
• Provide exceptional customer service, handling customer inquiries and complaints professionally and effectively.
• Train and mentor parts department staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Monitor and analyze parts department performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of all products and services offered by the dealership.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as all relevant safety regulations.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in sales, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Proven experience in a parts manager or assistant parts manager role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
• Exceptional sales and customer service skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency in inventory management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A degree in business management or a related field would be an advantage.
