About the role
Fence Outlet is seeking an Assistant Outside Sales Manager to join our team in Central Florida. The primary location is in Orlando, FL.
Responsibilities
- Assist with interviewing and assessing team members, providing feedback and performance improvement plans.
- Support the Sales Manager in managing daily sales activities and administrative tasks.
- Communicate with customers and provide technical assistance with sales applications, CRM systems, and quoting tools.
- Prepare and manage onboarding materials for new Sales team members.
- Analyze and maintain accurate sales data and reporting dashboards.
- Ensure compliance records and documentation are complete, organized, and up-to-date.
- Identify trends and address any irregularities or concerns.
- Support training initiatives and resources to enhance team performance and product knowledge.
- Resolve issues and escalate problems as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
- Follow up with customers for documentation, clarifications, and status updates.
- Coordinate with internal team members to ensure smooth workflow and reduce delays.
- Prepare and organize sales materials, proposals, contracts, and project documentation.
- Aid in obtaining required documents from customers, vendors, or internal teams to advance fencing projects.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2-5 years of prior experience in a related position.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with residential fencing products, construction terminology, or field operations is beneficial.
- Understanding of compliance requirements and documentation standards.
- Prior experience in sales support, customer service, or administrative coordination is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM or project management systems.
- Customer service orientation with a professional demeanor.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate needs.
Education/Experience
- Computer proficiency, including working in MS Office based programs and the company's internal sales program (Sales Pad).
- Human Resources management skills in employee relations, recruiting, and retention, as well as employee recognition.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), for clear client and internal interactions.
- Time management and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Requirements
- Continuous vision, frequent standing, walking, giving and receiving oral communication, bending, squatting, reaching above shoulder level, and discerning color.
- Occasional sitting, driving, typing, and making fine discriminations in sound.
- Satisfactory driving record; must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive to and from work locations.
- Travel as required for company business.
- Varying schedules that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
