Assistant or Associate Professor of Management - Strategic Management/International Business

About the role

The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Management in the David W. Wilson College of Business seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Management, starting August 2027. Primary teaching responsibilities will be courses in international management and strategic management at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching with evidence of a student-focused approach;
• Demonstrated ability to produce peer-reviewed publishable research that provides insights into issues critical for decision-makers;
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
• Enterprising and demonstrated effectiveness as a member of a collaborative team required.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Strategic Management, International Business/Management, or a related discipline from an AACSB-accredited doctoral program required.
• ABDs are welcome to apply with an expected degree completion date by August 1, 2027.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated potential to produce peer-reviewed, publishable research that provides insights into issues critical for decision-makers for Assistant-level applicants;
• Evidence of scholarship appropriate for the rank for Associate-level applicants.

Preferred Qualifications

• Stand-alone or independent teaching experience;
• Relevant work experience in a firm preferred.
