The position is full time and shared between ARTS / Department of Architecture and ENG / Department of Built Environment.
About the role
The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and research in the field of Spatial Landscape Analytics. They will engage in interdisciplinary projects that explore the complex interactions between human activities and natural landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research in Spatial Landscape Analytics
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Spatial Landscape Analytics
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to advance knowledge in the field
Requirements
- A PhD in a relevant field such as Geography, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or related fields
- Proven track record of research excellence in Spatial Landscape Analytics
- Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
Qualifications
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Ability to secure external funding
- Experience in supervising students
Skills
- Expertise in GIS and remote sensing techniques
- Knowledge of landscape ecology and environmental modeling
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
