About the role

The selected individual for this position will contribute to Fred Hutch’s mission of delivering outstanding clinical care and developing excellence in clinical research in gastroenterology. Leadership opportunities on the gastroenterology service may be available depending on candidate qualifications and program needs. All clinical and translational research experiences and interests will be considered, with expertise and focus in gastrointestinal malignancies or immunotherapy for immune-mediated diseases highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care within the gastroenterology service.
  • Engage in clinical and translational research, with emphasis on gastrointestinal malignancies or immunotherapy for immune-mediated diseases.
  • Teach and mentor advanced practice providers and fellows during inpatient and outpatient rotations.
  • Deliver informal teaching sessions and formal lectures to providers and the medical community.
  • Perform primary activities on-site at Fred Hutch.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent).
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology (or foreign equivalent).
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Washington.
  • Record of and primary interest in gastroenterological malignancies.
  • Active clinical research interest demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications.
  • Expertise in the application of endoscopic and other modalities to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of human cancers.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is:

  • $436,000.00 to $470,126.00 for faculty hired at the Assistant Professor rank.
  • $460,531.00 to $493,689.00 for faculty hired at the Associate Professor rank.

Pay for faculty positions is based on factors including degree, specialty, clinical practice, and experience.
