Assistant Operator - Paper Bag Machine

Responsibilities

• Aid in the setup and operation of paper bag machines, ensuring optimal performance.
• Maintain vigilance over the production line, promptly identifying and resolving operational issues.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting using hand tools as necessary.
• Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Assist with packaging and labeling of finished products, keeping accurate records.
• Keep the work area clean and organized, following proper housekeeping procedures.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve production goals and deadlines, fostering effective teamwork.
• Operate forklift trucks for material handling and warehousing tasks, as required.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues about production status and any encountered issues.
• Comply with all safety protocols and procedures related to machine operation and material handling.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of machine operation principles.
• General understanding of production processes and quality control procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills for calculations related to production and measurements.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrated capability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly within a paper bag production setting.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Experience operating forklift trucks.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and record-keeping.
• One to two years of experience in a production line environment.
