Assistant Operations Manager - Housekeeping

About the Role

Hyatt Centric Times Square New York is seeking a driven and detail-oriented leader to help elevate housekeeping operations. In this role, you'll partner with the Executive Housekeeper to oversee all aspects of housekeeping—from guest rooms to public spaces—ensuring every corner reflects Hyatt's high standards. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and takes pride in creating exceptional experiences behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across housekeeping and public areas
• Coach, develop, and schedule team members
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences, including for VIP and high-profile guests
• Uphold safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence
• Foster a positive, high-performing team environment

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• 1–2 years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience (housekeeping management experience preferred)
• Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills
• Must possess: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, ability to provide exceptional customer service, and ability to improve the bottom line
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Union experience strongly preferred
• Hospitality degree an asset

Pay

$66,300 – $72,000 (based on experience)
