Job Description

Cornerstone Caregiving is dedicated to supporting seniors in aging in place. As a leading home care organization, we provide high-quality care across 400+ locations. The Assistant Operating Director reports to the Operating Director and plays a crucial role in overseeing office operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Office Personnel: Support office managers to ensure they meet company standards, collaborate effectively, and align with departmental goals.
  • Liaison with Home Base: Act as the primary point of contact for communication between the office and Home Base, handling payroll notes, shift verifications, and other operations updates.
  • Client Management: Handle client escalations, conduct check-up calls, and perform quality visits to maintain client satisfaction and experience.
  • State Required Supervisory Visits: Ensure compliance with state standards as necessary.
  • Shared On-call Duties: Participate in the on-call rotation, responding to client, caregiver, or operational needs after hours as needed.
  • Backup for Client Assessments: Serve as a backup for client assessments when the Operations Director is unavailable.

Education & Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree
  • Associates and/or Bachelor Degree (may substitute with relevant experience)
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as Administrator and/or managing sales, customer service, and human resources functions within an office setting
  • Valid drivers license
  • Valid state required proof of auto insurance

Physical Requirements

The position involves a fast-paced office environment, continuous phone use, and interactions with employees, referral sources, and clients. It also includes exposure to prescription drugs, bodily fluids, small appliances, and human germs. The role requires sitting, standing, bending, stooping, lifting up to 10 lbs., and using a computer for extended periods. Stress on the back may occur.

Work Environment

The office environment involves continuous phone use, ringing, talking, various noise levels, and interactions with employees, referral sources, and clients. Possible exposures include bodily fluids, household and human germs, extreme cold or hot temperatures, light to heavy traffic, inclement weather, human body weights, and 50+ lbs. lifting as prescribed or needed per plan of care.
