Assistant Nursing Supervisor

As a Bluegrass Care Navigators' Hospice Team member, you will be part of a team providing care and support to patients and their families who no longer receive curative treatments but choose care to improve comfort and quality of life. The service focuses on one patient at a time, delivering care where the patient calls home—whether a house, apartment, nursing home, assisted living facility, or hospital. When home care is insufficient, care is provided at one of our Hospice Care Centers. Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, supervision, and delivery of client and family care services
- Assist the RN Supervisor
- Work with the Executive Director, Nursing Supervisor, and management team to plan for efficient provision of quality patient care
- Assist with staff orientation, education, scheduling, and supervision
- Coordinate the delivery of services to hospice patients and their families in a hospice regional office
- Provide direct patient care as needed
- Support standards of quality, patient, and team member safety
- Contribute to the total organizational culture and philosophy
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse through the Kentucky Board of Nursing or a participating COMPACT state Board of Nursing
- Two years’ general nursing experience required
- Hospice experience preferred
- Experience providing pain and symptom management
- Skilled in nursing practice and able to maintain professionalism in moments of emotional stress
- Complies with accepted professional standards and principles
