About the role

Fauquier Health is seeking an Assistant Director for the Surgical Services team. This role is part of a diverse healthcare network with facilities nationwide. The Assistant Director will supervise daily staff activities, support charge nurses, assist the director in coordinating new service line needs, and lead improvements in surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily staff activities for the Surgical Services Department
  • Support charge nurses with staffing assignments and daily department workflows
  • Aid the director in coordinating new service line needs, onboarding surgeons and staff, and reviewing surgical services metrics
  • Lead teams and support surgeon needs, staff concerns, and educational initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with evidence-based practice, AORN, and ASPAN guidelines
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve key performance indicators and process improvement opportunities

Requirements

  • Current Virginia state or compact state RN license
  • Basic Life Support certification within 7 days of hire
  • ACLS and PALS certifications within 30 days of hire
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Previous OR/Surgical Experience
  • Leadership and clinical experience required

Qualifications

Pay

The salary range for this position is $104,000 - $145,600 annually.

Schedule

The schedule is Full Time Weekdays with call as needed.
