Assistant Nurse Manager | Maternal Child Services | Full Time | Mid Shift

About the role

The Assistant Nurse Manager provides supervision and clinical expertise to staff in his/her assigned area. They assist the Nurse Manager in various tasks including hiring and firing of nursing personnel, conducting employee evaluations, orientation of new employees, and performance improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Nurse Manager in devising and managing the departmental budget(s).
• Facilitates positive customer service and patient-centered care on the nursing unit.
• Works a 3p-11p shift with call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing, BSN required within 3 years of hire.
• Preferred Education: BSN Required.
• Licensure/Certifications: BLS, ACLS from the American Heart Association required within 6 months of hire, NRP required within 6 months of hire, STABLE required within 6 months of hire.
• Required Experience: 3 years of RN Maternal/Newborn experience.
