About the role
The Assistant Nurse Manager in the ICU partners with the Nurse Manager to oversee daily operations, serve as a clinical mentor for nurses, and coordinate complex care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure operational excellence by managing workflows, monitoring inpatient care, and staffing.
- Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and ensure evidence-based competencies.
- Coach and develop nursing staff through performance evaluations and team building.
- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives, contribute to policy updates, and assist with budgeting.
- Promote an inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and promotes workplace equity.
Qualifications
- BSN required; minimum of 3 years of clinical RN experience, preferably with ICU or leadership background.
- Active RN license in the relevant state and BLS certification.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, organization, and delegation skills.
