Assistant Nurse Manager - Emergency - F/T Night

Responsibilities

• Participate with recruitment and retention strategies.
• Aid in unit huddles and leader rounding with employees.
• Contribute to and/or monitor the unit orientation process of all roles as necessary.
• Complete employee corrective action plans/counseling as necessary.
• Adhere to HMH’s Organizational and Managerial competencies and standards of behavior.
• Prepare and conduct periodic performance evaluations to assigned staff members.
• Model cultural competence, social justice and fairness, and capitalize on generational diversity to foster highly effective work groups.
• Resolve conflicts and facilitate constructive resolutions and positive outcomes if possible.
• Escalate nursing labor/management issues where applicable.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree.
• Minimum 3 years recent ER nursing experience in respective specialty or equivalent.
• Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: A minimum of an associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree. BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire. The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education and the ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus are all required.
• Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: MSN. Supervisory or charge nurse experience. Nursing leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Licenses And Certifications Required: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License. AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification. National Certification acceptable to the Magnet Recognition Program and appropriate to your current specialty (within two years of hire).
