Responsibilities

• Exhibits effective leadership skills and ensures high-quality patient care.
• Maintains positive customer relations and implements performance improvement projects.
• Serves as an educator, trainer, mentor, and lead for nursing staff.
• Assists in performance evaluations and provides regular feedback and evaluations for employees.
• Works closely with nursing leadership and ancillary departments to maintain a positive patient and family-centered care environment.
• Coordinates and assists in educational classes and other training needs related to staff development.
• Oversees inventory management and supply orders within the designated department.
• Coordinates and promotes staff development, quality services, and mandatory in-services.
• Affords 24-hour accountability for supervising and evaluating work performance in terms of patient care, unit relations, and efficiency of service.
• Maintains updated policies and operating manuals for the unit.
• Ensures timely completion of evaluating patient records for quality control and performance improvement for Nursing Unit.
• Supports customer service standards of excellence, resolves customer issues and concerns, and projects a caring, friendly, and helpful image to patients and customers.
• Evaluates the care and treatment(s) provided to the patient; performs timely reassessment and documentation.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse and Bachelors Nursing License
• Associates of Nursing and Bachelors of Nursing Education
