Assistant Nurse Manager

Job Summary

The 7th Floor Medical/Surgical unit at St. Anthony Hospital treats septic patients and has a focus on teamwork and positivity. We are looking for a dynamic, hard-working Assistant Nurse Manager who is interested in our department's mission.

Responsibilities

• Develop, achieve, and maintain unit or department goals by focusing on daily operations.
• Promote a positive and healthy work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers.
• Collaboratively work with nurse leaders to maintain productivity, support initiatives, and ensure appropriate staffing.
• Identify staff development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.
• Daily productivity and expense management, and support the unit/department manager with budget preparation.
• Encourage patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement in alignment with unit/department goals.
• Support employee participation in decision-making through shared governance and change management.

Job Requirements

• 2 years clinical RN experience
• 6 months - 1 year clinical leadership experience, preferred
• A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN)
• Current RN License to practice in state of employment
• Nursing Specialty Certification: Required to sit for certification within 6 months of hire/transfer, must achieve certification within 2 years of hire/transfer into this role

Physical Requirements

Medium Work - Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly

Pay Range

$41.50 - $72.11 /hour
