Assistant Nurse Manager

About the role

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Med/Surg team at Bartow Regional Medical Center as an Assistant Nurse Manager. As part of the community Bartow Regional Medical Center has been a partner for continued health and wellness. The position is located in Bartow, FL, full‑time exempt.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in the care of a patient population utilizing effective managerial skills.
• Supporting the Nurse Manager in a supervisory capacity while managing team member and patient care issues.
• Supporting the ongoing team member performance appraisal, hiring, and counseling and terminating process.
• Acting as a role model for other team members and the communication of organizational information.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Certifications and Licensures: BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required; RN (Registered Nurse) license is required; RN Nursing Specialty certification is preferred.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing or a healthcare related field is required.
• Experience: 2 years of RN experience in acute care, post‑acute, or sub‑acute experience; 1 year of leadership experience is preferred.
