Assistant Night Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor activities of all employees in the overnight department, ensuring adherence to standards of excellence, employee handbook guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Direct and oversee all operations during the night shift to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.
• Conduct briefings for all staff during the night shift.
• Maintain a professional and high-quality service-oriented environment at all times.
• Manage the night shift route, ensuring all employees perform assigned tasks and coordinate with other departments as needed.
• Assist overnight crew with exhaust cleaning tasks, including power washing, scraping, wiping down equipment, vacuuming, climbing ladders, hinging fans, and covering kitchen equipment in plastic.
• Actively participate in decision-making processes to resolve issues and ensure seamless service.
• Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, scheduling, assigning work, conducting training, counseling, evaluations, recognition, and rewards.
• Demonstrate initiative, problem-solving ability, staff training, and team-leading skills.
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures.
• Stay current with updates on new procedures and training.
• Perform any other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of growing management responsibility.
• Hood cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Computer skills: proficiency in Word, Excel, internet, and other computer applications.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Previous experience working nights is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Physically able to climb ladders to gain rooftop access to commercial establishments.
• Ability to squat, lift, and carry 50 lbs. a minimum of 100 feet.
• Able to stand for 10 hours at a time.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work fast and efficiently.
