About the role

The Assistant Merchant supports the Merchant/Leader in delivering the volume and growth expectations of a book of business, through comprehensive management and maintenance of assortment tools. They are the subject matter expert in areas including, but not exclusive of, assortment details, SKU Management, reporting needs, and competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

• Supports Merchandising team by being subject matter expert in areas including, but not limited to: system utilization, data entry, and assortment documents.
• Manages assortment data in the MAT tool, tracks changes, and maintains accuracy throughout milestones to ensure deliverables are met.
• Maintains assortment sheets and other documents based on changes and updates made to systems.
• Supports Monday reporting and analysis based on business needs.
• Builds relationships with cross-functional partners to facilitate exchange of information, best practices, and excellent execution of assortment strategy updates.
• Assists with design and production coordination.
• Owns sample requests and management.
• Manages competitive analysis of trends and feedback in the market to influence current and future assortments.
• Consistently demonstrates open-mindedness and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• 0-2 years retail experience preferred.
• Open-minded and strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to be a team player and to foster a commitment to teamwork among associates.
• Ability to adapt well to diverse audiences and environments.
• Proficiency with some/all of the following systems: Microsoft Office/Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook, MSI (Microstrategy), SAP.

Pay

Minimum Salary: $66,700.00. Maximum Salary: $85,785.00. VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual salary will be determined by a number of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic region, or other relevant factors.
