Assistant Merchandiser
About the role
The Assistant Merchandiser for Lucky Brand Women’s Fashion provides organizational support to the Merchandising team and partners with the Merchandiser on day-to-day business operations. The role leverages organizational and analytical skills, as well as trend awareness, to support the brand and help achieve financial goals. This position requires a 360-degree view of both store and ecommerce channels within an omni-channel business.
Responsibilities
- Provide team members with requested information by leveraging knowledge of the overall department.
- Analyze and identify best and slow sellers by generating selling reports; review findings with the team to determine appropriate actions.
- Stay informed about competitor landscape, trends, and target customer through research and competitor shopping.
- Manage the sample process, ensuring samples are organized and categorized appropriately; execute seasonal cleanups.
- Anticipate department needs for milestone meetings each season and prepare necessary samples.
- Participate in milestone meetings, recap action items, prioritize follow-ups, and ensure completion as needed.
- Update and monitor on-order and shipping reports; identify issues and propose solutions to the manager and cross-functional team.
- Create and track Third Party Purchase Orders (POs).
- Understand the roles of cross-functional team members and foster relationships to drive efficient collaboration.
- Complete data entry for day-to-day product management and manage product assortment and internal systems.
- Work with the Merchandiser to filter information, draw inferences, create solutions, and adjust strategies to maximize business performance and advance the merchandising process.
- Proactively seek new opportunities to grow the business and support personal and professional development.

- Understanding of the Women’s Fashion market and Lucky Brand customer.

- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Demonstrated initiative in addressing problems and working toward solutions.
- Ability to learn and maintain new systems.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable standards.
- Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable standards.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to operate a computer, office equipment, and view a monitor for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in person, telephonically, or via virtual methods.
- Ability to reach at or below shoulder level.
- Ability to carry equipment and move boxes or samples as needed.

Pay
USD $57,200.00 – USD $104,000.00 per year
