About the role
We are seeking an individual with a strong desire to grow in the apparel/headwear industry who enjoys working in a team environment. As global apparel and headwear design and sourcing experts, we help brands tell their story through high-quality, innovative apparel and headwear products. DRI ensures a fully integrated and socially compliant approach to creative development, merchandising, and operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Open and check-in daily sample packages.
- Assist with the execution of merchandising strategy for team’s accounts.
- Assist with product development for new SKUs; manage factory quote sheets and create BOMs.
- Help manage timelines and key calendar dates for larger programs by tracking and following up on both sample development and customer approvals.
- Responsible for item set-up and order entry, where needed.
- In collaboration with merchandisers, create design concepts that can be translated into artwork illustrations by internal design teams.
- Communicate daily with overseas factories through detailed emails and spec sheets.
- Support the merchandising team on special projects—presentations, sales analysis, retailing, customer visits, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in merchandising, marketing, or a related field.
- General knowledge of the apparel/headwear industry.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders and work effectively in a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task on a daily basis.
- Proficiency in computer applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SAP.
