Be part of something new! Healthy Living is opening a new store in Clifton Park and is seeking an experienced Assistant Meat & Seafood Manager to join our team.
About the role
The Assistant Meat & Seafood Manager supports the daily operations of the Meat & Seafood Department, including merchandising, product quality, inventory management, and replenishment buying. Working closely with the Department Manager, this role helps maintain a well-stocked, well-organized department while supporting food safety, regulatory standards, and an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operations of the Meat & Seafood department
- Assist in buying, ordering, and managing inventory and backstock
- Train, coach, and support department staff and meat cutters
- Maintain high standards in food safety, cleanliness, and compliance
- Ensure proper product merchandising, display building, and signage
- Provide exceptional guest service, including special orders and education
- Collaborate with vendors, farmers, and internal teams to keep products fresh, local, and well-stocked
- Participate in hiring, scheduling, reviews, and ongoing staff development
Requirements
- 2+ years of retail meat/seafood experience and team supervision
- Strong knowledge of meat cuts, breaking down primals, and knife skills
- Understanding of health & sanitation standards
- Ability to order effectively and manage inventory systems
- Leadership and communication skills to build a productive, motivated team
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and early mornings as needed
- Familiarity with local sourcing and sustainable food practices is a plus

Pay
$22.50–$24.94/hour (previous experience will be taken into consideration)
Schedule
Full-time, evenings, weekend, and holiday availability required.
