The Assistant Manager role is a multifaceted position that combines elements of business strategy, operations, creativity, and people management. It includes overseeing daily store operations such as opening and closing routines, enhancing efficiency in all store processes, and leveraging creative expertise through floorset updates, styling recommendations, and product knowledge. Additionally, Assistant Managers are tasked with talent leadership, which encompasses responsibilities like recruiting, training, engagement, and development of non-management staff. They are expected to embody the company culture and values, demonstrating product knowledge and brand awareness to drive sales, building and maintaining visual displays, analyzing reports to inform decisions, protecting store assets, and managing inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Perform Opening and Closing Routines
- Supervise Salesfloor & Stockroom, Ensuring Excellent Customer Service & Seamless Operations
- Conduct Staffing and Scheduling Operations and Payroll Management
- Train and Develop Non-Management Staff
- Demonstrate Product Knowledge and Brand Awareness, While Driving Sales
- Build and Maintain Visual Displays
- Analyze Reporting to Inform Decision Making
- Protect Store Assets & Perform Inventory Control
- Operate Register/Point of Sale Systems
- Fulfill OMNI Channel Orders
- Represent the Brand and Exemplify Company Culture and Values
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a strong background in retail operations, customer service, and team leadership. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but not required. Proven experience in a similar role, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion for retail are essential. Strong organizational and analytical skills are also crucial, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
