Assistant Manager - Store 4450

About the role

As an Assistant Manager at our high‑energy convenience store, you’ll support the Store Manager in all day‑to‑day operations, run the register, coach and motivate the team, help hire and train staff, step in as acting manager when needed, handle inventory and merchandising, keep the store clean, create schedules, manage cash handling and deposits, and provide leadership that drives the team to excel.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in all aspects of day‑to‑day operations
• Run the register and assist customers with speed, accuracy, and a great attitude
• Coach and motivate team members to consistently upsell products and promotions
• Help hire, train, and lead a high‑performing team focused on customer service and store success
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store fully stocked
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store—including restrooms, trash areas, and fuel pumps
• Create and manage team schedules to ensure full coverage
• Perform daily cash handling, deposits, and oversee store financials
• Provide feedback and leadership that motivates your team to excel
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Open availability: must be able to work weekends, holidays, and primarily second or third shifts
• Reliable transportation: valid driver’s license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance for bank deposits
• Physical readiness: comfortable cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, and maintaining outside areas like pumps
• Minimum age: 21+ years old
• Communication skills: proficient in English with basic math skills
• Willing to learn
• Food safety certification (must have or be able to obtain)
