About the role

As an Assistant Manager, you set the tone for the store and team, bringing the Athleta brand to life for customers. You drive profitable sales growth through customer operations, product merchandising, and talent development while supporting the store strategy to meet performance goals. You’ll collaborate with the General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager to coach and develop Leads, Experts, and Brand Associates, fostering a high-performing team that delivers a best-in-class customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Support strategies and processes to drive store sales with a customer-centric mindset.
• Recruit, hire, and develop highly productive Brand Associate and Expert teams.
• Own and manage assigned areas of responsibility.
• Implement action plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
• Perform Service Leader duties and ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures.
• Represent the brand and stay informed about the competition and retail landscape.
• Promote community involvement and leverage omni-channel tools to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with all operational and business standards.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of retail management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and teams.
• Passion for retail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Results-driven with a focus on metrics to meet business goals.
• Leadership skills to inspire and mentor others through coaching.
• Flexibility to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to use retail technology and maneuver around the sales floor, stockroom, and office.
• Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Pay

Hourly range: $21.50 – $29.00. Pay varies based on qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies, and work location. We meet or exceed the minimum wage based on city, county, and state requirements.
