Assistant Manager, Retail & Production
About the Role
As an Assistant Manager at Krispy Kreme, you will partner with our General Managers to create a WOW experience for our customers. You will support shop operations, foster teamwork, develop staff competencies, and help meet and exceed shop goals. This role is designed to grow your skills on your journey to becoming a General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage and build a team of customer-focused employees through coaching, measurement, and fostering teamwork.
- Assist the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, onboarding, and resolving team member disputes.
- Maintain knowledge of products and current promotions.
- Assist with in-shop accounting functions, including cash handling, financial and operational reporting, counting and depositing revenues, and managing inventory control.
- Ensure equipment and resources (production equipment, POS system, retail equipment, drive-thru, and processing equipment) are operational.
- Maintain a high level of shop sanitation and cleanliness.
- Provide exceptional customer service by nurturing a culture where all people feel welcomed and loved for their original identities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of experience in food service or retail.
- Steadfast commitment to nurturing an equitable, unbiased culture where employees are empowered to showcase their originality.
- At least 2 years of management experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or over.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Travel requirements: 0-10%.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Exposure to fluctuating temperatures and noise levels in the shop.
- Exposure to known allergens, including but not limited to nuts.
- Non-air-conditioned production environment.
- Noise typical of a production and/or processing area.
