Assist the Respiratory Care Manager in coordinating, providing, and improving patient care within the department’s scope of service. Foster clinical growth and best-practice strategies through educational efforts for Respiratory Care staff. Support the Manager in planning, organizing, and directing all department activities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver patient care in the Respiratory Care department.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and directing all department activities as delegated by the Manager.
- Promote clinical growth and quality improvement through staff education and training.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association).
- ACLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association).
- Associate degree in Respiratory Care (required).
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 3 years of experience.
- North Carolina licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- For non-medical center hospitals: NRP certification (required).
Qualifications
- 4-year college degree in Respiratory Care, Business, or Health Care Administration (preferred).
- 1–2 years of leadership and supervision experience (preferred).
Pay
$36.47 – $53.16 per hour.
Schedule
- Day shift.
- On-call required.
- Weekends as needed per department staffing.
