Assistant Manager - Respiratory Care

Assist the Respiratory Care Manager in coordinating, providing, and improving patient care within the department’s scope of service. Foster clinical growth and best-practice strategies through educational efforts for Respiratory Care staff. Support the Manager in planning, organizing, and directing all department activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care in the Respiratory Care department.
• Assist in planning, organizing, and directing all department activities as delegated by the Manager.
• Promote clinical growth and quality improvement through staff education and training.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association).
• Associate degree in Respiratory Care (required).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 3 years of experience.
• North Carolina licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• For non-medical center hospitals: NRP certification (required).

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in Respiratory Care, Business, or Health Care Administration (preferred).
• 1–2 years of leadership and supervision experience (preferred).

Pay

$36.47 – $53.16 per hour.

Schedule

• Day shift.
• On-call required.
• Weekends as needed per department staffing.
