About the role

The Assistant Mutuel Manager oversees and motivates mutuel employees to achieve individual and collective goals, ensuring efficient operations and customer satisfaction at America's second oldest horse racing track, the Fair Grounds.

Responsibilities

• Captures and manages all race day activities for front of the house mutuel activities.
• Motivates and evaluates mutuel employees to meet and exceed customer and company expectations.
• Ensures compliance with operational and regulatory requirements.
• Serves as a front line liaison for totalizer terminals and systems, identifying and resolving issues.
• Disseminates accurate and real-time information to customers and employees regarding the Fair Grounds' offerings.
• Educates customers and employees about the Fair Grounds' offerings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Two years pari-mutuel industry experience with supervisory experience preferred.
• Associate degree or two years college education.
• Able to obtain a Racing License from the Louisiana Racing Commission.
• Must be 21 years or older.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common documentation.
• Ability to respond to inquiries and complaints from employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the staff.
