Assistant Manager, Interceptor Engineering

About the role

The Environmental Services Division of the Metropolitan Council is seeking an Assistant Manager of Interceptor Engineering. This position supports and backs up an Engineering Manager, supervising staff and managing contracts, permits, and project information.

Responsibilities

• Supports and backs up an Engineering Manager
• Supervises assigned and unassigned staff
• Manages contracts, connection permits, encroachment permits, and relocation requests
• Gathers project information for the Capital Improvements Program and annual Capital Program publication

Requirements

• Any combination of experience in the design and construction of large wastewater collection and treatment facilities and completed education (degree field of study in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or closely related field)
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience, including a Professional Engineering (PE) License in Minnesota
• Preferred: Master's degree or higher AND four (4) years of experience, including a Professional Engineering (PE) License in Minnesota

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) License in Minnesota

Pay

$101,774.40 - $165,152.00 Annually
