Assistant Manager (Indeed Event)

About the Role

Panda Express is searching for experienced leaders to join our store management team. As an Assistant Manager, you will assist in the operation of a single store, including hiring, managing, and directing associates to achieve financial goals and ensure exceptional guest experiences. A 3+ week paid Store Management Leadership Training program, mentorship, and support from the Panda community will prepare you for success.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of a single Panda Express store
• Hire, manage, and direct associates to meet financial goals
• Ensure delivery of exceptional guest experiences
• Work opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Must be flexible to relocate to a store within a 50-mile radius of your home
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Serve Safe certified (Food Safety)

Work Environment

While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam tables and food vapors. Workspace is restricted, and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods. Additional physical demands include:

• Preparing hot and cold foods, using kitchen equipment (e.g., Chinese cook knife), and working quickly without losing accuracy
• Lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for up to four hours, and reaching across 36-inch countertops
• Working in a fast-paced, high-noise environment with limited storage space and high shelving

Employees must possess effective verbal communication skills, adaptability to a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and the ability to manage conflicts and difficult situations.

Pay

Pay range: $22–$25 per hour. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and experience. Panda makes no guarantee of bonus earnings and reserves the right to modify or terminate bonus programs at any time.
