About the role

The Assistant Manager supports and, when delegated, leads the overall management of a parking facility. This role supervises staff, manages operational processes, and exercises independent judgment in staffing, client relations, and financial performance. The Assistant Manager acts as second-in-command and assumes full operational responsibility in the absence of the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage location staff, including delegating tasks, coaching, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Participate in hiring decisions, including interviewing, selecting, and onboarding new employees; make recommendations for promotions and terminations.
  • Assist in scheduling and workforce planning to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and property managers when delegated; attend meetings and resolve client concerns to maintain strong relationships.
  • Monitor and manage facility maintenance and safety standards, including overseeing maintenance projects and ensuring timely completion.
  • Oversee ticket inventory, cash flow, audits, and loss prevention strategies; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Review and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly operating reports; make operational adjustments to achieve budget goals and improve profitability.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in resolving escalated guest concerns, operational issues, and staffing challenges.
  • Respond to incidents and accidents promptly, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and reporting requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with guests, clients, and team members at all times.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in parking operations, hospitality, or customer service.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to drive.
