About the Role
Supports the operation in delivering superior guest service by managing or assisting with the day-to-day operations of the unit’s performance. Responsibilities include monitoring cost, revenue, labor, inventory control, and quality of products and services, as well as maintaining compliance with company, franchise, brand, and regulatory agency requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage or assist with the day-to-day operations of the unit, including monitoring cost, revenue, labor, and inventory control.
- Supervise unit employees, assign duties, and ensure all areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Monitor and maintain all quality control records, including quality assurance, loss prevention policies, and cleaning programs.
- Ensure compliance with company, brand, franchise, and regulatory agency standards.
- Maintain effective communication and positive associate relations, including managing progressive discipline, resolving issues, and conducting performance reviews.
- Assist with recruiting, selecting, promoting, and training associates.
- Work with maintenance staff to inspect, maintain, and replace equipment as needed.
- Follow and monitor safe food handling, proper hygiene practices, and workplace safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma; completion of a technical school program or company training in restaurant management/food service is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in restaurant/food service with 2 years of leadership experience.
- Must be able to obtain alcohol awareness and/or ServSafe Food Safety certification.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and ability to understand P&L and sales reports.
- Ability to lead and motivate staff.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for dealing with employees and customers.
Skills
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Effective communication in individual and group settings with customers, co-workers, and staff.
- Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure.
- Ability to apply reasonable understanding in carrying out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, and visually navigate through the unit.
- Regularly required to continuously stand and walk.
- Use hands for lifting and carrying (0-30 lbs.), including frequent reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, stooping, and bending.
