Assistant Manager I
Duties
- Aid with store functions and daily operations
- Provide positive, approachable customer service and address inquiries
- Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery trucks and stockrooms
- Maintain seasonal areas of the store
- Process corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information requests
- Order merchandise, process damaged items, maintain records, and manage loss prevention
- Maintain store cleanliness, including restocking bathrooms, sweeping, mopping floors, and disposing of trash
- Ensure areas of the store are well-stocked and organized to company standards
- Secure all company assets and adhere to safety guidelines
- Supervise, train, and develop store associates
- Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills
