Assistant Manager- HVAC
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee HVAC projects from start to finish.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and service technicians.
- Ensure efficient flow of information from project inception to team members.
- Schedule HVAC installation and services.
- Utilize internal and external software for scheduling, pricing, purchasing, and project reporting.
- Manage HVAC design and installation.
- Oversee employees, crew configurations, and assignments.
- Communicate effectively with all organization members and customers.
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage staff.
- Troubleshoot HVAC systems during installation and service.
- Manage and purchase HVAC parts, materials, and equipment.
- Complete accounting and bookkeeping tasks to ensure project profitability.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a relevant field.
- Excellent phone communication skills.
- Competence in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in construction, trades, utilities, or industrial sectors.
- Leadership and human resources management skills.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Ability to plan and see the 'big picture'.
- Ability to communicate effectively via email, text, telephone, or in person.
- Proven working experience in construction, manufacturing processes, or general labor.
Qualifications
- BS degree in construction, business management, architecture, engineering, or related fields.
- HVAC/Service experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Willingness to be cross-trained on duties like payroll and entering work orders.
- Ability to perform physical activities indoors and outdoors.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform required tasks.
- Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of hand tools and machines used in HVAC work.
Work Environment
The work environment is relaxed with a casual dress code (jeans, tennis shoes, and a collared shirt). The Assistant Manager will report to the President and Vice President and work closely with the executive team. Pay and Benefits
