About the role
The Assistant Manager- FOH is responsible for the shift; including customer satisfaction, cash, labor and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Ensure adequate staffing of the shift
- Supervise and assign tasks to shift personnel according to established standards
- Handle all customer complaints and resolve them in a professional and timely manner
- Monitor labor hourly and react accordingly
- Complete the daily or nightly book work
- Assist in monthly inventory
- Assist in the daily requisition and ordering of products
- Receive and properly store product from vendors
- Perform duties necessary to open or close unit as assigned
- Responsible for reconciliation of the safe and cash drawers
- Maintains the petty cash log and submits for reimbursement
- Assist with preparation of daily deposits and change requests
- May be asked to work catering at other dining service locations and perform various duties as requested by the manager
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Able to work independently; as well as, part of a team
- Take initiative, anticipate, prioritize, adjust, and follow tasks through to completion
- Successfully operate within deadlines
- Use creative problem solving skills
- Adhere to company, department and State guidelines as directed
- Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Predictable and reliable attendance
- Strong customer service skills are a must
Education and Experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Two year degree preferred
- Previous food service industry and customer service experience required
- Computer knowledge helpful
Physical Conditions and Demands
- Exposure to hot, noisy, and poor ventilated areas
- Moderate to heavy lifting, of up to 50 lbs.
- Constant standing, bending, and walking
- Exposure to various types of food
Pay
21.58–21.58 hourly wage
