Assistant Manager Job Description:
- Act as manager when manager is unavailable
- Looking for a leader that also enjoys being just "part of the team" to promote a fun and cohesive environment
- In charge of shifts and delegating tasks
- Aid in managing inventory and placing orders
- Aid in scheduling and gathering employee feedback on schedule issues
- Show exemplary knowledge of the job and excellent customer service
- Deal with upset customers/problems with food in a polite way, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Accept deliveries, verifying completeness and accuracy, or issuing refunds
- Communicate with managers/owners regarding inventory status, new ideas, and special circumstances
- Aid in interviewing, evaluating, and training employees
- Memorize and explain training material about health benefits of ingredients and food to customers
- Show excellent customer service, being positive and polite
- Practice cost-cutting measures and work as a team
- Track food quality and handle special circumstances
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers
- Become food certified
- Be extremely dedicated to cleaning and maintaining a clean environment
- Must be able to handle a basic computer, POS system, handle cash and credit cards
- Follow health, sanitary, and safety requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods, lift heavy boxes, move quickly, and have a sense of urgency
- Maintain a clean and work-appropriate personal appearance
- Come to work with a positive attitude and willingness to work well with others
- Leadership abilities and management experience a plus
- Restaurant experience a plus
