About the Job

Deloitte is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Manager (Data Privacy) to join its Cyber Team in Mumbai. The role involves advising clients on data protection compliance, privacy frameworks, risk assessments, and governance in line with applicable data protection laws.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance.
• Professional certifications such as CIPT, CIPM, CIPP/E, or other relevant privacy certifications are preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, particularly India’s data protection framework.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop data protection policies and procedures in accordance with applicable privacy laws and client requirements.
• Conduct privacy and data protection assessments to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and evaluate data processing activities to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and organizational policies.
• Guide clients on conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), privacy risk assessments, and data governance initiatives.
• Design and implement privacy and security frameworks, processes, and controls for clients.
• Build strong working relationships with clients and internal teams while delivering privacy and compliance solutions.
