About the role
The Assistant Manager, Collections is responsible for overseeing the collection process to ensure timely and accurate recovery of accounts receivable.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the collections team
- Develop and implement strategies to improve account recovery rates
- Manage and train the collections staff
- Monitor and analyze collection performance metrics
- Resolve customer disputes and complaints
- Work closely with other departments to resolve issues affecting collections
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of collections management experience
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Experience in financial services industry preferred
- Knowledge of credit reporting agencies and regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
