Assistant Manager, Client Development & Engagement - Litigation

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Litigation CDE team, broader CDE team, Litigation Partners, and select client teams in implementing business development strategies and action plans
  • Serve as a key resource for business and operational support functions related to CDE for several practices in the Firm’s Litigation Department
  • Develop compelling pitch and proposal materials
  • Design and implement practice and industry-related initiatives
  • Liaise with CDE team members and Partners to prepare and maintain up-to-date practice descriptions, capability statements, competitive intelligence and other relevant CDE collateral
  • Work with CDE team members to accurately maintain the Firm's engagement database and deals and case experience across all channels, as well as other operations and systems
  • Manage creation of marketing collateral and other promotional materials, working with graphics and outside vendors where appropriate
  • Work closely with the CDE team to prepare and manage directory submissions and survey responses for various legal and business directories/publications
  • Foster and maintain strong relations with key stakeholders; ensure stakeholders’ engagement is supported across departments and offices
  • Support CDE projects and other Firm initiatives as needed
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Required Skills And Experience

  • 4-8 years of relevant experience managing complex projects and teams
  • Experience cultivating and managing client relationships
  • Creative and innovative thinker, generating ideas that create value and improve processes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and manage multiple projects concurrently, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Ability to anticipate business challenges of stakeholders and senior team members and proactively address needs with self-assuredness and business acumen
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, web-based research, and various AI tools

Preferred Skills And Experience

  • Prior experience in marketing and business development field at a law firm supporting litigation, enforcement or regulatory practices
  • Some familiarity with experience management databases such as Content Pilot or Foundation
  • Experience with website maintenance and/or Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as Dynamics
  • Some experience with Bloomberg Law, Westlaw, CourtLink, Courthouse News or similar tracking tools

Salary Information

NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $180,000 at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
